Thousands of Canadians hoped to start the New Year off with a free vacation if more than 12.7 centimeters of snow fell on their part of the country Tuesday. The deal works like this:
- Book your flight, hotel or vacation through participating tour operators between June 12 and Dec. 7, 2007, for departures before April 30, 2008;
- Watch your region’s snowfall on Jan. 1;
- If it’s more than 12.7 centimetres, will refund the price of your purchase within 14 days, minus the taxes.
Carroll said “tens of thousands” of customers are eligible to get their money back and that the response to the promotion has been unbelievable.
